Airtel Run for Education 2019.
RUN-FOR-EDUCATION is a fundraising sporting event which is organized to support the cause of providing education for the underprivileged children, signifying ‘Freedom through education’. This initiative was taken by Round Table India in 2014 and the inception year witnessed ardent participation from various walks of life, like corporate, students, families and more. The event brought enthusiastic professional and novice runners on one platform defining the true spirit of humanity and sportsmanship and generating awareness for education and fitness for all. Funds raised through this events in the past, was used towards building classroom facilities in Vivekananda Vidya Mandir, Barasat and the recipient of this year’s aid would be Sarada Sishu Mandir, Tanterberia, Howrah. The 2019 leg of this annual event will be held on the 24th November, flagged off from the City Centre Saltlake and expects to see the participation of around 7,000 runners from across Kolkata.
