Bengal Ultra 2019 - 1 Edition

Get ready for the biggest ever single stage trail run in West Bengal.

Bengal Ultra 2019 offers the challange of #80Km run with altitude gain of more than 4700Ft / 1432 meter (*Actuals may differ). The route passes through quiet forests on both sides of the track, and criss crosses several peaks of the area. Many small lakes and ponds grace the way. Once you have covered the small rolling hills, flat dirt tracks and mud in the village paths, you face the mighty and beautifu Ajodhya peak in front of you. You then keep going uphill, crossing 2 waterfalls Turga & Bamni Falls somewhere on the route and reach a beautiful manmade lake of Ajodhya PPSP plant at the summit point. look around and you can see clear blue sky on top, grean forests as far as you can see, the blue water of the lake right beside you and the city below you at a distance.

1. A Road Trip from Kolkata to Purulia in a luxury bus along with all other runners and volunteers.
2. A welcome ceremony by the villagers with traditional tribal flavor. 
3. Team interaction as ice breaker & race briefing.
4. An exhibition of Chau dance by local artists.
5. Groove to the beats of tribal dance, join them for an extra dose of fun.
6. A grand dinner (Bara Khana) and campfire to celebrate your spirit.

Route Highlights:

Get ready to climb up the #AjodhyaHill and experience the majestic views of reserved forest in Matha. Rolling hills, an incline on Ajodhya hill, views of the Ajodhya Pump Storage plant, the big Dams for the power plant, the forest overlooking the plateau, numerous small lakes and ponds in the route and many tribal villages with their happy faces are ready to welcome you all. We are also an ITRA member race organiser.
