Chithirai Oottam - 2023 - 1 Edition

"Run to save Lake & Sluices" event is aimed to create awareness among the people especially the young generation about the importance of water bodies and the necessity to preserve them, as well to generate interest in sports activities to lead a healthy & happy life. The route of this running event covers Kaveripakkam lake & surrounding areas. This "all-volunteer" race is being organized by "Airwings sports development academy" with the support & contribution from more than one hundred members of the local community and several business establishments.

This mini marathon race has something for everyone from amateur to veteran, which includes a "Kids Fun Run" of 11 Km road race.

Event Norms:

All participants are kindly expected to adhere to the following norms strictly through out the event.

* Read the Ruler.

* There are time limits.

* Be on Time (All participants are expected to reach the event starting point at least half an hour before the starting time. Late arrival will lead to disqualification)

* Taking short cuts, diverting from the prescribed route & indulging in any form of malpractices or misdeeds will lead to disqualification.

* Drinking alcohol, Doping, Smoking & Littering are strictly prohibited.

* Always show your race numbers.

* Don't fold your bib.

* Don't exchange or give your bib number to others.

* Don't tie your shoe laces in the middle of the road.

* Don't block other runners.

* Don't misbehave with anyone.

* Seek assistance only from the volunteers authorized by the organizing committee.

Note:- Organizing committee has the rights to alter or change or re-schedule the event & the race route in the occurrence of any Natural calamities or any other untoward incidents. It will be circulated to all participants well before the event. Not adhering to the event norms will lead to the disqualification of the participation. No refund is entertained for cancellation and disqualification of the participation in any case.

    Participants can collect your kit (Jersey top, Bib number) from the organizing committee from 15-04-2023 (9.00am to 7.00pm) onwards at Govt Boys Hr Sec School, Kaveripakkam.
