The Muddy Island Run is the first event of the Indian Oil Eastern trail series. It is a 10 km trail run conducted on the flat dirt trails of River Krishna's island.

The course passes through short trees, with some sections traversing the river bed's sandy areas. As rain is expected, the course presents the challenge of slippery, wet mud.

It is also the designated site for the Pushkaram, a river-worshipping ritual of the River Krishna.
