Lakeside Marathon - 1 Edition

Cochin Lakeside Marathon is an exclusive running event organized by Angamaly Heritage Rotary for promoting a healthy lifestyle and attract more people towards the most inclusive form of sport – that is run. This running event is of international standards while retaining its local appeal, style and scenic beauty.
The magic of running; it is something that everyone can do, and you don’t need to be giHed or require any special skills to participate.
A challenging, fun, purpose-led running event that is designed for all age, experience level and ability.

Proceeds from the event will be used for funding community service projects of Angamaly Heritage Rotary for the year 2023-24. The vision of the Cochin Lakeside Marathon is to establish a sustainable community-focused running event, encouraging athletes of all levels to lead healthy lifestyles and further their personal fitness through running.

Run in unity, Thrive in community is the slogan of this running event that aimed at educating every participant about significance of keeping themselves healthy and well being of a broader community!

Marathon Details

We have chosen a scenic and beautiful location for this marathon start and finish points – that is the Malayatoor Lake itself. Run start from the lake and pass by the beautiful landscapes and greeneries of forests and plantations .

Three different running events are planned:

• Half Marathon(21km),
• Quarter Marathon(10km),
• Fun-runs (2.4km).

Individual runners are categorised into Male/Female and also as per Age-category  and corporate participants are categorised into groups of 5 and 10. All participants will get finishers medal and certificate upon completion. Attractive cash prizes for winners(1st, 2nd and 3rd).

Both half and quarter marathons are time tracked using RFID tags, and separate arrangements for fun-runs. All runners are provided with runners’ jerseys with event branding.

Age categories: Upto 35 years,  36 to 55 years,  56 and above.
