Dorabjee Pune City Marathon: Run for a Greener Tomorrow.

The marathon's theme revolves around the symbiotic relationship between fitness and environmental stewardship. Participants are not only running for their personal health but also for the health of the planet.

About the Event :

You Run We Plant - Tree Planting Initiative: After a Successful Run is completed by participants, a certain number of trees will be planted in designated areas across the city. This unique approach ties the distance covered directly to the number of trees planted, making each runner an active contributor to the city's greenery.

Multiple Distance Categories: The marathon offers three distances: 5km, 10km, and 21km, catering to runners of different skill levels and interests. Each distance represents a different level of commitment to both fitness and environmental conservation.

Eco-Friendly Practices: The event will strictly adhere to eco-friendly practices, such as reducing single-use plastics, using compostable materials for refreshments, and encouraging waste segregation. Zero-waste stations will be set up along the route to minimize the environmental impact of the event.

Each Volunteers will provide information on topics like recycling, composting, reducing carbon footprint, and local biodiversity.

Green Partnerships: Collaborations with local environmental organizations, government bodies, and corporate sponsors will emphasize the collective effort towards a greener Pune. Green sponsors can showcase their commitment to sustainability through interactive booths and displays.

By combining the passion for running with the urgency of environmental conservation, the "Dorabjee Pune City Marathon: Run for a Greener Tomorrow" aims to inspire positive change while promoting healthier lifestyles and a sustainable future for Pune and beyond.
