EVENT INFORMATION

Registration opens on Sunday 25th June 11:59pm

After the stupendous success of our first Ultra Run in Assam, we at Anvayins invite ultra-runners, marathoners & walkers to the 2nd Edition of our annual Ultra Run at Kaziranga, Assam. This event is dedicated to the cause of rhino conservation symbolized by its campaign, titled as Run For The RhinoTM

Extend your stay to spend quality time with family, friends, running buddies by making it a run-cation. Special services like Run-cation package and bus services have been organised for your convenience. Check with our team for more details on the same.

Route -

A trail run on the tough yet picturesque course passing through rural landscapes and tea estates on both sides.

Race Categories -

You have options to choose from 52K Ultra, 26K Run, 10K Run & 5K Fun Run

 

Participants’ Takeaway -

Dri-fit T-shirt, timing/participation certificate, finisher medal & Brunch.

Support on the route -

Medical & Hydration support - Hydration stations, running related snacks, ambulance and mobile support will be available through the course.

Race Categories-

52K Ultra Run (5:30am start, timed run, min age 18yrs, cut off time 9hrs): 3000/-

26K Run (7:00am start, timed run, min age 18yrs, cut off time 4hrs): 2500/-

10K Run (8am start, timed run, min age 12yrs, cut off time 2hrs): 2000/-

5K Fun Run (8:30am start, non-timed, min age 8yrs): 1000/-

I have been certified to be physically fit by licensed medical practitioner and agree to indemnify the organizers its agents, employees and associates, the organizing committee and other persons connected to the event against any losses, damages, costs, liabilities, claims or proceedings arising out of any misstatement and/ or misrepresentation made herein.

Refund Policy -

- In case of cancellation of the event due to reasons beyond our control, full refund will be issued.

- In case, a participant wants to withdraw from the event then he/she should inform the organizers at least 10 days before the event date, at mansi.engineer@anvayins.com to get full refund.

Q. How would you describe this run?

A. This is a trail run through rural landscapes and tea estates.

Q. Are there any elevations?

A. The route map with such details will be shared shortly

Q. What are the categories?

A. 52K, 26K, 10K, 5K

Q. What is the running circuit like?

A. For the 52K Ultra runners, there are 2 loops each of 26K. For the 26K runners it will be 1 loop.

Q. What are the weather conditions?

A. It will be very cold early in the morning and will start getting a little warm from 9AM onwards

Q. Should we carry our fog lights?

A. Runners doing 52K, must carry headtorch. Mostly it is not foggy in December, but we do suggest you carry for your safety.

Q. What is the registration inclusive of? What are the participants’ Takeaways?

A. A goodie bag that contains T-shirt, Cap & some other goodies. On Race Day - Finishers Medal, Timing/Participation Certificate & Brunch post run.

About Kaziranga

Q. Are there any accommodations available?

A. Kaziranga is a famous tourist destination in Assam and there are all categories of hotels and homestays available. We suggest booking your accommodation 2-3 months before since it is season time and availability of rooms in your desired hotel could get difficult.

Q. Which is the closest airport / railway station?

A. Closest airport & railway stations are in Guwahati or Jorhat

Q. What is the travel time to reach Kaziranga from Guwahati or Jorhat?

A. Guwahati to Kaziranga is 5 hours and Jorhat to Kaziranga is 3 hours

Q. Are there any Bus service available? If yes, what are the charges?

A. Yes, we are providing bus service from Guwahati to Kaziranga and back. Charges and other details will be shared soon.

Q. Are there hospitals close by in case of emergencies?

A. Closest hospital will be in Jorhat (3hrs away) and all the big hospitals are in Guwahati (5hrs away)

Q. What can we explore in Kaziranga?

A. Kaziranga is well known for its nature and wildlife. You can take the Elephant or Jeep Safari and explore the wildlife. You can also visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park. Links with details for both attractions are given here below for your reference:

Q. How many safaris should one do at Kaziranga National Park and what are the charges?

A. You can take 1 Elephant Safari and 1 Jeep Safari. Elephant safaris are early in the morning and cost about Rs.1000/- on sharing basis and Jeep Safaris are in the afternoon which cost about Rs.1000/- per person on sharing basis with minimum of 4 people in the jeep.

Q. What are the traditional cuisines one can try in Kaziranga?

A. Aloo Pitika, Khar, Dhekia ferns, Duck curry, Pigeon Curry, Pork khorika and Fish tenga curry are the traditional cuisines of Kaziranga.

Q. Will I get vegetarian food?

A. Yes. Some very delicious Assamese thalis can be enjoyed at the Kaziranga Orchid Park and also in all the restaurants and hotels vegetarian meals are available.

Q. What can shop in Kaziranga?

A. Assam tea, Xorai, Jaapi, Cane & Bamboo products and Gamusa. There are handicraft shops at the Kaziranga Orchid Park.

Q. Do you need permission to enter Kaziranga?
