Run Thrissur Run 2019 - 1 Edition

After the resounding success of the 1st & 2nd edition of Run Thrissur Run with an overwhelming participation of over 1,500 plus runners from across India, this year Trichur Round Table is organising the 3rd edition of Run Thrissur Run Half Marathon on 10th Feb 2019, comprising of 5 Km (Family / Fun Run / Walk), 10 Km Run and 21 Km Run as a fundraising cum health awareness initiative. We have roped in professionals involved in organising national level competitions and the event shall conform to international standards with RFID timing chips for 10K and 21K Runs.

Trichur Round Table 88 is an organisation under the aegis of Round Table India which is a pan India organisation. Round Table strives to promote the fellowship of young men through the medium of their business, profession and community service activities. The flagship project undertaken by Round Table India is ‘Freedom Through Education’- an initiative to support the education of underprivileged children by providing the required infrastructure. Over the years Round Table India has built 5377 classrooms in 2172 schools at a total cost of 179 crore rupees. This endeavour has helped over 5 million underprivileged children realise their dream of quality education. The funds are raised through member contributions and charity fundraisers. Round Table India brings corporate houses such as Coca Cola, Proctor and Gamble and Cognizant, to name a few, to partner in its various endeavours. Round Table India is a zero-overhead organisation in that all the funds raised through the charities go into meaningful projects and never into administrative expenses. Administrative expenses are met entirely through member subscriptions. Trichur Round Table Charitable Trust is a charitable society registered under section 80G of the Income Tax Act and eligible to receive CSR funding.
