RUN THRISSUR RUN  2020

After the resounding success of the 1st edition of Run Thrissur Run Jan 2017 - Mini Marathon, with an overwhelming participation of over 1,000 plus runners from across India, this year Trichur Round Table is organising a Half Marathon on 19th Jan 2020, comprising of 5 Km (Family / Fun Run / Walk), 10 Km Run and 21 Km Run as a fundraising cum health awareness initiative. We have roped in professionals involved in organising national level competitions and the event shall conform to international standards with RFID timing chips for 10K and 21K Runs.

COURSE MAP

Run along some of the historical landmarks of the cultural capital. We flag- off from Palace Grounds adjacent to the Sakthan Thampuran Palace. The name of the town evolves from Thrissivaperoor which denotes the 3 temples dedicated to Siva. Your route covers all the 3 namely- Paremekkavu, Vadakkumnathan and Thiruvambadi. Breathe in the crisp morning air from ‘Thekkinkaadu Maidanom’ which also houses the Vadakkuathan Temple in its centre. Enjoy views of the Thekkinkaadu Maidanam as you loop around the Swaraj Round. We have taken all steps to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable run. Water stations along the route, medical assistance and cheering teams- all designed to give you a memorable run.

Venue: Yatri Nivas, Opposite Corporation Stadium Thrissur

Time: From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Race Start Timings will be as given below on 19th Jan 2020

21K : Last Reporting time - 5:00 AM | Race Start Time - 5:30 AM

10K : Last Reporting time - 5:30 AM | Race Start Time - 6:00 AM

5K : Last Reporting time - 6:30 AM | Race Start Time - 7:00 AM

Please refer to the route maps to familiarise the routes. Don’t worry, have marshals to guide you throughout the route.

Water stations are provided every 2 Km for your convenience so that you’ll never have to go thirsty while running.

Free breakfast will be served at the venue after the run.

Kindly arrive at the venue well in advance, so that you have enough time to prepare and clarify any doubts if any.
