Every year the Navy Day is celebrated on 04 Dec. This day also commemorates the daring attack on Karachi harbour by ships of the Indian Navy during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Amongst many activities that INS Valsura Conducts, Navy Half Marathon is a highly awaited event by the local populace of Saurashtra Region. Navy Marathon in addition to promoting health and fitness also motivates the youth to join the Armed Forces.
INS Valsura has been conducting Saurashtra Navy Half Marathon over the past many years. This year aiming at reaching out to entire Saurashtra Region in the wake of "Fit India Movement" and " Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav", INS Valsura is geared up to organise " Saurashtra Navy Half Marathon" on 26 Nov 2022.
