Brace yourself for the epic ULTRAMARATHON- SHAHI ULTRA 2022, organized by AADHAR WELFARE FOUNDATION in association with ENDUROSAM FITNESS and supported by SHRI GANRAJ EDUCATIONAL TRURST, DHASAI and our Hospitality Partner- THUBE FARMS ( AGRO & FISHING)


This Marathon is unique in its own sense. Set in the mesmerizing beauty of Murbad, it includes six categories comprising of 5KM, 10KM, 21KM,, 42KM, 50KM and 75KM. Get ready to run amidst the nature, to be completely soaked and enjoy the escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is our pleasure to present you all the first edition of Shahi Ultra. Test your endurance levels on 23rd January along with enjoying the race atmosphere.

It will be an ON- GROUND & a LIMITED Event, planned, organized and executed by the runners for the runners and our Hospitality Partner- THUBE FARMS ( AGRO & FISHING)

This would turn out to be a perfect race for seasoned marathoners who want to make a shift into ultrarunning, thereby improve their mileage as well as their timing. Ultrarunners who have been in training since long, would know where do they stand as they compete with others keeping a sporting spirit in this Ultra Race.

ULTRA RUNNING as a  competitive sport is still growing in India and we want to promote it to a wider extent so that we can find, nurture talent & provide them a platform to showcase their talents. 

As the name suggests- SHAHI ( which means ROYAL in English), be assured of experiencing a royal outing at this Ultra Race.

FREE ONLINE TRAINING SESSIONS- YOGA FOR RUNNERS would be conducted on 9th and 16th January, evening 7 pm for the Registered participants and on 22nd January at the RACE VENUE.

RUNNER'S RACE CATEGORY INCLUSIONS

 75 K,50 K, and 42 K Runners:- are entitled to have a Personalised Excellent Quality T-Shirt/ Singlet, Goodie Bag, Bib- Timing Chip, Pre - During - Post Race Hydration, Finisher's Medal, Medical Support during the race, Race Day- Breakfast, Race Day-Meal, Excellent Pictures throughout the race, Digital Timed Race Certificate (for all finishers - post completion of the race).

21 K, 10 K, 5 K Runners;-  are entitled to have Personalised Excellent Quality T-Shirt / Singlet, Goodie Bag, Bib-Timing Chip, Pre - During - Post Race Hydration, Finisher's Medal, Medical Support during the race, Race Day- Breakfast, Your Excellent Pictures throughout the race, Digital Race Certificate (for all finishers - post completion of the race).

There would be plenty of hydration and nutrition support enroute. As many of the members in the organizing team are ultra runners by themselves, have ran ultra races, crewed at many races, we know what all is necessary.

BIB EXPO DETAILS -

On 22nd January, 2022, ie, Saturday at THUBHE FARMS, EKLAHARE,  the participants can collect their bib along with their goodies at the race bib expo. Bib Expo Details would be sent a week prior to the registered participants via mail / whatsapp.

YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK YOUR ACCOMODATION TICKET ALONG WITH YOUR RACE REGISTRATION TICKET HERE ON TOWNSCRIPT.

For your convenience, we would simply suggest the outstation participants to stay at farmhouse associated with us ie THUBE FARMS ,as we have arranged the Accommodation for Saturday and Sunday (Race Day) with Breakfast and dinner (Day earlier & Race Day) at the best available price, if purchased through Townscript.

HOW TO REACH THUBE FARMS, EKLAHARE, MURBAD-

1) Your own private vehicle.

2) Bus Facility- Bus would be arranged for registered participants on the bib expo day from Kalyan. Participants need to reach Kalyan station on their own. (Details will be updated and sent a week prior to all registered participants).

For outstation runners (Outside Maharashtra)-

Mumbai is the nearest location for you to arrive. From there you could travel by a cab or take public transport to reach Kalyan, from there, bus facility to reach the venue would be arranged by us.

IN CASE OF ACCOMODATION - Cancellation / Refund are not possible at all, as again this one is a negotiated rate with the farmhouse.

In order for us to encourage a smooth transition from marathons to ultras, there is a minimum qualification criteria that a runner must meet before applying for the SHAHI Ultra Marathon.

1. For 50 Kms – A minimum of one full marathon with timing of sub-5:30 hours in last year.

2. For 75 Kms – A minimum of two full marathons with timing of sub-5:30 hours OR minimum of one 50Km in last year.

Incase you do not meet the above mentioned criteria, if you are in training and feel that you can complete the race, you may register upon sending your training activities - STRAVA / GARMIN, etc to samftsach@gmail.com .

For winners, Cash prizes along with the Trophies would be awarded to the winners. 

ROUTE MAP:-

The race loop is of 21 kms which will be totally on roads, there isn’t any trails. However there are inclines and declines on the route. Maximum elevation being 223 M.

It will be completely a different running experience for all the runners as it is away from the city and in a free environment.

 

Mission of organizing body- Aadhar Welfare Foundation:

1)To propogate Yoga.

2)To help the Veda research and educational institutes.

3)To help blind people, old age homes and orphanages.

4)To provide relief to the people affected by natural calamities.

 

Recent Social Activities done:-

CHIPLUN FLOOD SOCIAL WORK-  We did our bit by handing over necessary clothing and medicines personally to those families affected by the recent flood at Chiplun, Maharashtra.

STATIONARY KIT DISTRIBUTION , MURBAD- At Dhasai, along with the assistance of Shri Ganraj Educational Trust, we donated stationary kits to 200 needy school going children.

DISTRIBUTION OF COVID CARE ESSENTIALS, SGET NGO- Provided oximeters and thermal scanners.

NOTEBOOK & FOODGRAIN DISTRIBUTION, BORIVALI- Donated notebooks and foodgrains to tribal settlements situated inside SANJAY GANDHI NATIONAL PARK.

Disqualification :-

Race Director or Aid Station leaders can implement disqualification or penalties as per the list below.

- Immediate disqualification

    * Taking short cut

    * Taking lift in vehicles

    * Lack of respect for organization or other runners

    - Race bib not visible - 10 minute penalty.

Complaints :

Any complaint must be sent by email, within 10 days after the end of the event.

Exceptional Conditions :

- If necessary, the organization reserves the right to any time modify the routes, starting times, cut-off barriers, the position of aid stations and medical stations, and any other aspect related to the smooth running of the events

- In case of adverse COVID-19 condition, bad weather conditions or any other circumstance endangering the runner's safety, the organization reserves the right to :

    * Postpone the start of the race (by few hours)

    * Modify the cut-off times

    * Neutralize the event

    * Cancel the event

COVID-19 MANDATES FOR THE RACE :-

• All the existing COVID - 19 safety guidelines & norms imposed by the state & central govt authorities are expected to be adhered by everyone (including us). The race will be undertaken in utmost safe environment as the pandemic is still there.

• Installation & Usage of Aarogya Setu App in your mobile phone is a must.

• Registered participants and their accompanies should be administered with both the doses i.e. should be fully vaccinated of any COVID - 19 vaccine until the race day orelse RTPCR negative report certificate must be produced. 

Waivers:

Runners will be asked to sign on a waiver on the race day with following self-declarations:

- that they are medically fit to run

- in case of any temporary injury or permanent injury or loss of life, the race organization and organizers will not be held responsible

- Runner grants full permission for use of any photograph, video or any record of this event for any promotional or legal purpose.
