One Level Up Sports is proud to announce the 2nd edition of - SMVD Katra Half Marathon
Katra or Katra Vaishno Devi, as it is popularly known, is a small town in Reasi district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India, situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is located.
It is located 42 km from the city of Jammu.
Significance –
One of the World’s most popular Holy Shrine The Vaishno Devi Temple is a significant Hindu temple dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi. The temple is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas dedicated to Durga, who is worshipped as Vaishno Devi. It is one of the most visited pilgrimage centres of India. Every year millions of visitors visit the temple. The river Chenab flows near this location.
REGISTRATION AND EVENT DETAILS:
Event Name: SMVD Katra Half Marathon – 2nd Edition
Date: Sunday, 02nd April, 2023
Minimum Age: All athletes must be 14 or older on race day.
Tickets once sold will be non refundable.
RACE TIMINGS:
Race– Start Time
Half Marathon (21.1k)- Starts at - 06:00 AM – cut off time – 10 AM
10K–starts at 06:30 AM – Cut off time – 9.00 AM.
5 K – starts at 7:00 AM – Cut off time 8:30 AM
There is NO - Cut Off Time for Sr citizens.
RACE COURSE & AID STATIONS:
SMVD Katra Half Marathon -
21.1K –– Going till 10.5K and turn back on the race route - Elevation Gain- 320 Feet.
10K – Going till 5K and turn back on the race route. – Elevation gain – 200 Feet
Aid Stations will be at every 5K.
RACE EXPO & BRIEFING:

On 01st April, Saturday at 15:00 hrs – 19:00 hrs Sports Stadium Katra
Participants can collect their bib along with the goodie bags there at the race expo.
We’ll talk about the race course, rules and regulations, conditions, and a Q/A session.
