The Great Run of Punjab is India’s largest multicity staged ultra marathon covering 14 villages and 5 cities.

With a vision to spread the message of greatness of Punjab, The Great Run of Punjab Season 3 would start on 29th November 2020, from the Holy City of Amritsar, passing through villages of Punjab, crossing the sarson clad fields and ending on 1st December, in city beautiful Chandigarh covering a distance of 200 km in 3 days. To give this opportunity of experiencing Punjab to all runners, we have various distance options of Daylight Runs which runners can choose from. 90% of run is through villages avoiding the highways as much as possible. Overall flat road with few kms of possible urban trails.

After the grand success of TGRP 1st edition Amritsar to Chandigarh and 2nd Edition from Chandigarh to Amritsar, where 2000 runners participated in different race categories, edition 3 will start again from Amritsar and end in Chandigarh.

Nature of event: Multicity Staged 3 days Ultra race from Amritsar to Chandigarh.

Distances:

Ultra Races: 200km Amritsar to Chandigarh | 100km Amritsar to Jallandhar | 50km Amritsar to Beas

Track: Mostly flat road through villages of Punjab avoiding highways.

Weather: Winter morning and evening, pleasant during the day, temperature between  5 Celsius - 20 Celsius

Races Categories - Roar The Roads

200 KM Sher-e-Punjab: Come out of masses, Stand Out Stand Alone: Be the Lion!

Let the Ultraholic lion in you roar the roads! This race category is for the lions, who are not afraid to go beyond limits. The run starts from Amritsar and ends in Chandigarh, covering a whooping 200 KM distance in 3 days, 12 hours everyday. With this run, the runner runs minimum an Ultra distance (>60 KM) every day for 3 days! The route is scenic covering 14 villages and 5 cities of Punjab, mostly flat road with a bit of trail, 90% road is non highway.

Start time: 6:00 AM, November 29, 2020 Amritsar and concludes in Chandigarh on 1st Dec, 2020

Cut off time every day: 12 hrs from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Min distance to cover in a day: 60 KM

Max distance to cover in a day: 80 KM

Participation Criteria: The participant must have finished 2 Ultra Run

Age Criteria: 18 & Above

Timing Stations: 60/70/80 Kms only

Flow of the Race: The Race will start at 6:00 AM and will be concluded at 6:00 PM Km mark where timings will be noted by timing official at 60, 70 & 80 Km mark. Runners will be given a choice to choose their distance (60/70/80Km) for first two days and the remaining distance they will need to finish on third day. Each day runners will be driven to a place of stay after the run and then will be driven to the start point next morning. 100km Singh-The King: For the Fearless

Score a century with Multicity ultrarun from Amritsar to Jallandhar and bag the title of Singh - The King!

Start time: 6:00 AM, 29th Nov, 2020 from Amritsar to Beas

Cut off time: 16 hrs 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Participation Criteria: The participant must have finished 1 Ultra Marathon.

Age Criteria: 18 & Above

Flow of the Race: The Race will start at 5:00 AM and will be concluded at 100 Km mark near Jallandhar where timing will be noted manually by timing official and dinner will be served. 50 KM Shaan-e-Punjab: For the Iron Willed

With Punjabi dhol and enthusiasm at the start line, Shaan-e-Punjab 50 km invites you on a journey from Amritsar to Beas. The runners would be greeted with a lunch at the finish line.

Start time: 6:00 AM, Nov 29, 2020 from Amritsar to Beas

Cut off time: 8 hrs 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Participation Criteria: The participant must have finished 1 Full Marathon.

Age Criteria: 18 & Above

Flow of the Race: The Race will start at 6:00 AM and will be concluded at 50 Km mark where timing will be noted manually by timing official and lunch will be served.
