Vagamon Ultrail - 5 Edition

The Vagamon Ultrail is an Ultra Trail Marathon organized by Soles of Cochin, the one of its kind in Kerala, in the hills of Vagamon. Soles of Cochin is a group of enthusiastic fitness fans who are energetic about distance running. The Vagamon Ultrail has been arranging the yearly IDBI Federal Life Insurance Spice Coast Marathon in Kochi since 2014. Vagamon Ultrail has advanced from the running fest in Vagamon, which has been leading since 2016 and first open to common people in 2018.

Through this Ultra Marathon, Vagamon Ultrail is giving a lifetime opportunity and experience to go through the trails, slopes, meadows and by the edges of Vagamon. Vagamon is a hill station situated along the Kottayam-Idukki border of Kerala and has been nicknamed as the "Scotland of Asia", in this way giving a heaven to the sprinters.

The race categories available for The Vagamon Ultrail are as follows:

Fun Run - The Fun Run is another classification in the 2020 release – basically for individuals who needs to run their first marathon. It is an out and back course on our course taking runners through the tea estate, slush and single way hills. Trust us, it will be intense and will get you addicted for trail running. The fun will begin and complete at St. Thomas LP School, Pullikkanam at 09:00 AM and last 33 Kilometers. There is no stage cut-off and final cut-off. Everybody who completes the run will be granted medal and timing.

60K - The 60K run begins at Orchidarium and is a point to point course taking sprinters through the most excellent areas in Vagamon while as yet presenting enough difficulties for a customary marathon runner. The course takes you through various terrains and will complete at St. Thomas LP School, Pullikanam. The course will have a combined elevation of 2100m.

90K - The 90K run will begin at St. Thomas LP School Pullikanam and take the switch of the 60K until Orchidarium, and afterward take an alternate course on come back to the end goal. 90K will complete at where it began and will have an elevation gain of 3300m.

In the wake of the previous edition's finisher to begin ratio, we have chosen to adjust the Qualification criteria for Vagamon Ultrail 2020.
