Vizag Navy Marathon 2019 - 6 Edition

Eastern Naval Command of Indian NAVY in collaboration with Sports Arena gets you the biggest running event in the State of Andhra Pradesh which is also Visakhapatnam’s largest community event. The 6th edition of Vizag Navy Marathon will be run by participants from armed forces, corporate sector, government sector, educational institutions and runners from international forums. The event attracts a large scale tourist population for participation from various states and countries.

RECOGNITION

Vizag Navy Marathon and the course of the run is accredited by the AIMS - Association of International Marathons, which proudly makes us stand as a registered professional internationally recognized event. The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, also known as AIMS, is an association of long-distance running races. VNM will be a qualifier for the ‘World Marathon Majors’ after attaining the AIMS membership.

The event will be covered by the international media and talks loud about the state. There is a large scale local and non-local community from different partns of India and other locations which add a great flavor to the run and the events reach is exponential due to their participation. Vizag Navy Marathon stands apart among all the marathons in India because of the scenic route that lets runners enjoy the coastline on one side and eastern ghats on the other side of the route. The mesmerizing view of the sunrise from the horizon is a great view for both the participants and spectators. This scenic non deviating course along the coastline is termed as “THE BEST SCENIC ROUTE IN THE WORLD”. The 22 km stretch of run alongside the beach is nowhere to find in India and Visakhapatnam stands proud of its clean beaches, spotless roads and hospitable people.
